Stuart formed Numedia in 2004 to develop innovative and cutting-edge products for the broadcast and emerging digital cinema markets. Working with respected industry professionals such as Peter Wilson (HDDC) and recognised technology specialists at BBC research and development has led to the development of a unique range of compression technology products.

in the years before Stuart spent 15years working for Snell & Wilcox where he was the technical leader on three major European Union projects leading to the development of new technologies to solve the difficult problems associated with archive preservation and restoration.
